The NSW Health statewide CTMS is a software system which manages planning, performing and reporting functions, and maintains participant trial information, tracks deadlines and milestones for streamlined trial management. It is used for any type of clinical trial, including collaborative, investigator-initiated, and commercially sponsored trials.

The electronic infrastructure of the CTMS reduces administrative burdens, increases visibility of clinical trial activity and improves financial management of clinical trials at NSW public health organisations.
