Academic Renal Team (ART)
The Academic Renal Team (ART) are a research group of clinical academics are clinician leaders hosted by the Centre for Kidney Research who enable clinical knowledge and training of future doctors, working in areas of laboratory studies, clinical trials, registries, and PhD supervision.

Biography
Nephrologist/Clinical Academic. Dr McCarthy is a paediatric nephrologist and clinical researcher within the University of Sydney. He established and ran the NSW paediatric renal genetic clinical service. His research focuses on the care of children living with rare and genetic renal disease and the study of the pathogenesis of nephrotic syndrome.

Director - Laboratory. Stephen Alexander is a Senior Staff Specialist paediatric nephrologist, Conjoint Professor Paediatrics at the University of Sydney, and the Director CKR Laboratory. His research group studies mechanisms of tolerance in transplantation and kidney disease.
